Former FC Barcelona president and re‑election candidate Joan Laporta launched his campaign on Tuesday with a large opening at his headquarters on Provença 173 in Barcelona. On Wednesday he shared on social media the cover of his book, which will be presented next Monday and go on sale the following week. Publisher Ara Llibres describes it as "the exclusive, first‑person chronicle of the club's most iconic president"; in the book Laporta candidly explains how he led the blaugrana through a relentless obstacle course.
The presentation is scheduled for Monday, February 23 at 19:00 at the Ateneu de Barcelona. Laporta will be joined by Josep María Fonalleras and Gemma Nierga.
