Paris Saint-Germain has shown interest in Barcelona forward Ferran Torres, whose contract situation remains uncertain. Torres’ current deal with the Catalan club runs until the summer of 2027, and no renewal has been agreed upon yet. Barcelona’s management plans to speak with the player after the World Cup to clarify his intentions and, if willing, begin negotiations to extend his contract.
If Torres receives a compelling offer abroad and wishes to leave, Barcelona would be open to negotiating his exit, but only if initiated by the player himself. The club’s sports management, however, aims to propose a contract extension initially. During the current season, Torres has faced strong competition within the squad—players like Dembélé, Kvaratskhelia, and Doué have limited his playing time.
PSG is interested in signing Torres but will only pursue negotiations if Kylian Barcola leaves the club. Following the departures of Lewandowski and Rashford, PSG aims to reinforce their attacking line yet must consider freeing spots for new arrivals. Should Barcola indeed leave, Torres’ transfer to Paris becomes more likely.
Barcelona intends to keep Ferran, especially considering his potential market value post-World Cup. However, a guaranteed starting spot is not assured — competition from Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Anthony Gordon, and possibly Julián Álvarez remains intense. Therefore, the player’s future at the club might hinge on his preferences and ability to prove his importance.
