Pep Guardiola, after concluding his decade-long tenure at Manchester City, has been spending time in Catalonia. At an event in his hometown, he spoke about some of his former players and the current situation at FC Barcelona.
Regarding the potential arrival of Bernardo Silva at Barcelona, Guardiola praised the Portuguese midfielder's versatility: "Bernardo would adapt to any team. He is too good." He also mentioned Julián Álvarez, with whom he won the Champions League in 2023, stating: "City has all very good players."
On Barcelona and their back-to-back league titles under Hansi Flick, Guardiola commented: "They are Barcelona players, whether from La Masia or elsewhere; in the end, they are Barça and perform very well. They have had two extraordinary years, beyond the results, in how well and attractively they play. I am a big fan of Hansi and his work and wish them many more years of success."
