Barcelona has reached an agreement with 24-year-old German right winger Karim Adeyemi for his transfer from Borussia Dortmund. According to the deal, Adeyemi will sign a five-year contract while the club will pay €22 million plus €7 million in potential bonuses. Although the deal is finalized, the official announcement has yet to be made.
Adeyemi arrived in Barcelona last week and completed his medical examination successfully. He is currently awaiting the formal signing of his contract while staying at a hotel near the Spotify Camp Nou. As he has not yet signed or been registered with the social security system, he is not allowed to train with the first team or train alone at the club's facilities.
This signing will be the second under coach Hansi Flick; the first was Anthony Gordon. Adeyemi will compete with Lamine Yamal for a spot as a right winger. The club expects to make the official announcement within the next few days, likely this week.
Meanwhile, negotiations continue regarding Marc-André ter Stegen’s loan move to Ajax. Though not finalized, it is seen as a promising deal expected to close soon. Flick now has fresh options in both attack and the goalkeeper position as he prepares the squad for the 2026/27 season.
