Dani Olmo keeps adding up. The midfielder has played his eighth consecutive match, extending his best streak since joining Barça in the summer of 2024.
Last season, he had two six-game streaks, and in the previous match against Girona, he started again, although he couldn't celebrate a win.
The Canary Islander has been a starter in Barça's last eight games: Oviedo, Copenhagen, Elche, Albacete, Mallorca, Atlético Madrid, and Girona, with a record of six wins and two losses and one goal scored. He has never before had such a significant role in the team.
In the 24-25 season, Olmo only completed 90 minutes once, in the Copa del Rey round of 16 against Rayo Vallecano. This year, however, in these eight starts, he completed the full match twice — against Albacete and Atlético, both cup games.
