FC Barcelona aims to conclude any pending transfer operations swiftly in order to focus on reinvesting in new signings for the 2026 summer window.
One player potentially leaving the club is 22-year-old midfielder Marc Casado. With strong competition in midfield from Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, and Marc Bernal, Casado has realized he cannot be assured regular minutes for the upcoming season and has decided to explore new opportunities.
According to Spanish media reports, Casado has instructed his agent Jorge Mendes to assess offers from interested clubs. The player prefers to remain in Europe and continue competing at the highest level. A move to Turkey appears to be off the table.
Among the interested parties are Premier League side Manchester United, along with Spanish clubs Atletico Madrid, Real Betis, and Real Sociedad. Nevertheless, Barcelona's asking price of around €20 million could be a hurdle. The club hopes to close the deal before the end of June.
Being a La Masia product, all funds from Casado’s sale would be pure profit for Barcelona. Beyond Europe, there is reported interest from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. Still, Casado wants to keep the option to return to Europe in the future, considering his young age and potential.
Currently, Marc Casado is evaluating his options and looking to make a decision that aligns with Barcelona’s conditions and his desire for playing time.
