Barcelona defender Eric Garcia has praised the club’s new signing, Anthony Gordon, in a recent interview.

Garcia pointed out that the England international is a very fast player who "never stops pressing." He described Gordon as offering something different compared to Barcelona’s existing wingers, such as Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.

While Yamal and Raphinha excel in one-on-one situations, Garcia noted that Gordon is more inclined to make many runs into space, which can greatly aid Barcelona’s attacking dynamic.

"We saw that when we played against him this year in the Champions League," added the defender, emphasizing Gordon’s relentless pressing on the pitch.

Garcia also mentioned that Gordon will join the team after participating for England at the 2026 World Cup.

Such positive remarks by a key defensive player suggest that Gordon is expected to play an important role in Barcelona’s squad for the 2026/27 season.
