Marc Casadó has clearly expressed his intention to remain with Barcelona despite speculation about a possible departure this summer. In an interview on the ‘Tot Costa’ program on Catalunya Ràdio, he said he is open to staying and plans to discuss his role further with coach Hansi Flick and the club’s sporting directors.

The situation gained complexity after Frenkie de Jong suffered a serious knee injury that could keep him sidelined for several months. At the end of last season, the German coach indicated that Casadó’s playing opportunities would be limited, which led the young midfielder to consider a loan or permanent transfer. His agent, Jorge Mendes, had already been negotiating with several leagues.

Now Casadó’s stance is firm: "I want to stay. But if someone doesn’t want me here, they should tell me." He also pointed out that discussions are ongoing: "There are still things we need to talk about with the coach and sporting management, as well as with my agent."

He remains confident about his place in the squad: "No one can doubt that I want to stay here. If someone says no, then we will look for the best solution for all parties involved." His openness to continuing dialogue shows professionalism and adaptability.

Casadó’s position is important for Barcelona as the team navigates current squad adjustments, especially given de Jong’s injury which increases the need for reliable midfield options. The final decision regarding Casadó’s future will emerge from upcoming negotiations.
