FC Barcelona reclaimed the top spot in La Liga after defeating Levante 3-0.
Following two losses in the previous games, this was a more reassuring performance from the Blaugrana.
While the three points were what mattered most, one aspect that caught some attention among the Catalan team’s fans was Lamine Yamal’s gesture of annoyance after being substituted for Roony Bardghji in the final phase of the game.
Hansi Flick was asked about this incident in the post-match press conference. According to SPORT, the Barcelona coach did not seem overly concerned and appeared surprised by the question. He said: "Was he angry about his performance? That’s normal. The most important thing is that we won, and we have players who deserve to play, like Roony, who is a very professional player, and I liked Yamal’s reaction when he came on."
When pressed further, Flick added: "You give too much importance to everything Lamine does. I have no problem with the reaction; he’s human. Other players also deserve to play, and that’s all there is to it."
According to Flick, this was a natural reaction from a player eager to play as much as possible. Hopefully, Yamal will show that there was nothing serious about his gesture in the next match against Villarreal.
