According to Spanish reports, the forward’s frustration has grown due to the club’s lack of commitment and failure to offer a contract renewal. After two strong seasons under Hansi Flick, Torres expected to be a central figure in Barcelona’s long-term plans.
However, the club’s sporting leadership has taken a different route, identifying Julián Álvarez as the preferred main striker following Robert Lewandowski’s departure. This decision has significantly affected Torres’ view of his future at Camp Nou.
Torres anticipated contract negotiations this summer, but Barcelona never initiated discussions, leading the player to question his place at the club. Meanwhile, PSG has intensified talks, progressing positively on personal terms with the player, though a financial agreement between clubs is still pending.
