Barcelona’s hunt for a new centre‑forward to replace Robert Lewandowski has linked the club with Julián Álvarez and Dušan Vlahović.
Álvarez appears unlikely because he may be beyond Barcelona’s financial reach, while Vlahović could be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Former scout Bojan Krkic Sr said he would renew Lewandowski’s contract but still sign a starting centre‑forward, arguing that Lewandowski is useful in matches where the team dominates and creates chances and has accepted his role this season without complaint.
On the two targets, Krkic said Vlahovɪć is a very good striker but better suited to attacking transitions, counter‑attacks and finding space; tight, high‑possession zones and link‑up play are not his strongest attributes. Álvarez, he added, is an ideal fit for Barcelona’s attack and also offers the option of playing on the wing.
