Barcelona has emerged as Europe’s leader in merchandise revenue growth and volume for 2025, according to UEFA’s financial report on European clubs. Over the past financial year, the club recorded the highest absolute increase in revenue, even in the post-Messi era.

A key driver of this surge was Barcelona's first full year partnering with Nike as their technical supplier. This partnership resulted in an increase significantly above the average 6% rise seen among the top 25 European clubs. Barcelona generated a total of €277 million from shirt sales and merchandise, comfortably ahead of Real Madrid (€231 million) and Bayern Munich (€189 million).

This commercial success is closely linked to the club’s youth-focused strategy, prominently featuring the rising star Lamine Yamal, who has quickly become a global attraction and the face of Barcelona’s new generation. The club’s identity, built around academy talent rather than high-profile transfers, continues to resonate with fans, contrasting with rivals boasting marquee signings.

Barcelona’s merchandising leadership and growing fan base rooted in authenticity and emerging talents highlight the club as a model of effective sports and business strategy in modern football.
