FC Barcelona has announced its second signing for the women’s team this 2026/27 season: 24-year-old American goalkeeper Tyler McCamey, who played 16 matches last season with Dallas Trinity FC.
McCamey joined on a free transfer, with her official contract signing scheduled soon at the club’s offices, attended by club president Joan Laporta and women’s football executive Xavier Puig.
This signing fills the goalkeeper position vacated by Txell Font, whose contract ended and who moved to Badalona Women. The current goalkeeping roster now includes Cata Coll, Gemma Font, and Tyler McCamey.
McCamey’s tactical role will be significant for rotation in goalkeeping duties, considering the demands of multiple competitions. Her integration and performance under coach Pere Romeu will be vital for Barça’s defensive stability in the season ahead.
