FC Barcelona has reached an agreement to sign Jesse Bisiwu, a 17-year-old Belgian winger from Club Brugge's youth setup, according to journalist Matteo Moretto.
Born on January 22, 2008, Bisiwu developed at Oud-Heverlee Leuven's academy between 2014 and 2020 before moving to Club Brugge. At 15, he signed his first professional contract and progressed into Club NXT, Brugge’s U23 team competing in Belgium’s Challenger Pro League.
This season, Bisiwu has started six matches for Club NXT, accumulating 443 minutes in the second tier of Belgian football. While he has yet to record goals or assists at the senior level, his playing time at 17 indicates valuable exposure to adult competition.
Internationally, Bisiwu represented Belgium at the 2025 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, where he was named in the Team of the Tournament. Primarily a left winger despite being right-footed, his strengths include one-on-one ability and dribbling agility.
The specifics of Bisiwu’s contract with Barcelona, including fee structure and duration, have not been disclosed. It is expected that upon arrival, he could either play for Barça Atlètic or split time between the reserves and Hansi Flick’s training sessions.
Formal signing and registration are anticipated to be completed in the coming days.
