Barcelona has reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Karim Adeyemi. The deal involves a fixed fee of €22 million plus an additional €7 million in variables.

Spanish media indicate that the agreement was closed on Friday evening, though some minor issues remain to be finalized in the official contracts. The club had previously reached terms with the player, who will reportedly earn €12 million gross per season.

Until the remaining details are resolved and the paperwork is signed, the club cannot officially announce the signing. Adeyemi remains in Germany awaiting travel to Barcelona. The expectation is that everything will be completed during the early days of next week.

Once all documentation is complete, Adeyemi will undergo a medical examination with the club. After that, he is set to immediately join the training sessions under Hansi Flick. The squad is scheduled to return to training on July 13, when Adeyemi will also be officially presented as a Barcelona player.

This marks Barcelona's second signing this summer. Before the World Cup, the club secured the transfer of Anthony Gordon, paying €70 million plus around €10 million in variables. Meanwhile, the sports management is still working on new reinforcements, including Julián Álvarez, João Cancelo, and potentially another forward.
