Barcelona are reportedly considering a surprising transfer move for Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush as a potential alternative to Julian Alvarez this summer.
According to Diario Sport, the Catalans are looking for other options since bringing in the Argentine striker appears extremely difficult.
Marmoush's name has emerged as a player who would “fit perfectly into Hansi Flick’s system” at Barcelona.
It is believed Marmoush fits the profile Barcelona seek: a mobile, technically gifted, link-up playmaker with a knack for scoring goals who can play across the front three.
The report says Barcelona followed him before he signed for Manchester City, and their interest could now be reignited.
There is also a sense that he could be available this summer and that Pep Guardiola’s side would be willing to let him go.
