FC Barcelona continues to affirm its commitment beyond sport by responding to the devastating earthquake in Venezuela with a new humanitarian fundraising campaign. The club, together with the FC Barcelona Foundation, has initiated an extraordinary effort to raise funds to assist those affected by the disaster.

The Foundation made an initial donation of €100,000 to support humanitarian organizations actively working on the ground with expertise in emergency response. These funds will be allocated to aid programs focusing on emergency relief, child protection, access to clean drinking water, food distribution, healthcare, education, and support for displaced families.

Starting July 1, Barcelona will introduce a solidarity rounding-up mechanism at various sales points within its facilities. Fans, members, and visitors can make voluntary small donations by rounding up their purchases to the nearest euro, thereby contributing to the fundraising.

Recommended humanitarian partners for donations include UNHCR, UNICEF, Save the Children, the Red Cross, and Oxfam Intermón—organizations with proven track records in protecting children’s rights, providing essential services, and supporting vulnerable populations during crises.

This effort aligns with Barcelona’s broader philanthropic engagement in recent years, demonstrating how football institutions can harness their platform to make meaningful contributions to communities far beyond the pitch.
