Goalkeeper Ander Astralaga, aged 22, has ended his time at Barça Atlètic after the club chose not to extend his contract following his loan spell at Granada.
Signed from Athletic Club in 2019 for the Cadete A team, Astralaga progressed through Barcelona’s youth ranks and was called up to several main team sessions but did not make an official debut.
In a farewell message, Astralaga reflected on arriving in Barcelona eight years ago as a boy with a dream to become a professional, noting the invaluable relationships formed with teammates, coaches, and club staff during his time at La Masia.
With his stage at Barcelona concluded, Astralaga now faces the task of finding a new club to continue his professional career. Former teammates have responded to his departure wishing him well in his future endeavours.
