FC Barcelona is preparing for a busy summer transfer window that will include both arrivals and departures.
Among the club’s young talents is 20-year-old goalkeeper Aron Yaakobishvili, who already gained senior experience on loan. Reports indicate that Barcelona have received two official offers from clubs interested in taking the promising goalkeeper on loan for the next season.
Coach Hansi Flick has expressed strong faith in Yaakobishvili’s potential and future development. Still, a decision regarding whether he will remain at the club or be loaned out is expected soon.
The current goalkeeping roster features Joan Garcia as the undisputed first choice, while there are doubts surrounding Wojciech Szczesny’s continuation as the backup keeper. Inaki Pena and Marc-André ter Stegen are reportedly not in the club’s plans, and Diego Kochen is expected to leave on loan as well.
Yaakobishvili spent the 2025/26 season on loan at FC Andorra, where he performed well and demonstrated readiness for senior football. If he does not secure the second-choice spot, he could fill the role of third-choice goalkeeper in the squad for the upcoming season.
The upcoming decision will shape Barcelona's goalkeeping depth for the 2026/27 campaign.
