FC Barcelona has announced that medical examinations have confirmed an injury to the biceps femoris of the right leg for Oscar Gis au, a member of Barça Atlètic. The club indicated that he will be unavailable for approximately 12 weeks, which equates to about three months.

This is another setback for the youngster, who had already undergone surgery on a hamstring tendon in December and was operated on in early October for a partial tear of the outer meniscus in his left knee. Those previous procedures make this latest absence particularly concerning for his recovery timeline.

Within La Masia, Gis au is regarded as one of the academy’s most promising players, and that is why Juliano Belle i backed him as a leading option during the opening phase of the season. The coaching and medical teams will now focus on his rehabilitation to try to bring him back as soon as possible.
