Eighteen-year-old forward Hamza Abdelkarim has earned valuable experience with Egypt’s senior national team at the 2026 World Cup. Following his success in winning Group 3 of the División de Honor Juvenil with Barcelona, he participated in all three group matches against Belgium, New Zealand, and Iran.

Abdelkarim accumulated over 60 minutes of playing time (20, 25, and 23 minutes respectively), helping Egypt to secure five points and advance to the round of 16, where they will face Australia. Egypt’s head coach Hossam Hassan has shown significant trust in the young forward.

Barcelona recently exercised the purchase option on Abdelkarim, signing him for three seasons with a transfer fee of 1.5 million euros plus variables, reflecting the club’s interest in his development. Within Juvenil A under coach Pol Planas, Hamza has established himself as a regular starter, showcasing a classic striker profile with a strong goal-scoring instinct and aerial ability.
