Joan Laporta is set to be inaugurated again as president of FC Barcelona after winning the election by a wide margin over Victor Font.
According to the club's official honours list compiled by Diario SPORT, Barcelona has won 162 titles across all professional sections during Laporta's two terms, bringing him close to setting a new record.
The current record is held by Josep Lluis Nunez, the club's longest-serving president, who secured 179 titles over 22 years. With nearly twelve years already in office and five more ahead, Laporta is now just 17 titles short of surpassing this milestone.
Out of the 162 titles, 70 were won during his first term between 2003 and 2010, and 92 have come since his second term began in 2021. The most successful sections under his leadership are handball with 49 titles, roller hockey with 39, followed by men's football (23) and women's football (22). Basketball (15) and futsal (14) complete the tally.
Laporta's first tenure coincided with arguably the greatest Barcelona team built around Ronaldinho and perfected under Pep Guardiola. His current term, in contrast, has focused on rebuilding amid financial challenges while maintaining high competitive standards.
The arrival of coach Hansi Flick has revitalized the men's first team, now featuring a new generation of La Masia talents such as Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, Fermin Lopez, Gavi, and Marc Bernal, alongside established stars like Pedri and Joan Garcia.
A significant part of Laporta's recent success has been driven by the women's team, which since 2021 has secured four Champions League titles, six league championships, five Copa de la Reina trophies, and five Spanish Super Cups, establishing itself as a dominant force in European women's football and contributing substantially to Barcelona's overall trophy haul.
