Tommy Marques, a La Masia graduate, played his first senior match for Barcelona when he was introduced in the second half of the team’s 3-0 La Liga victory over Real Mallorca at the Spotify Camp Nou on 7 February 2026. The 19-year-old has been around the first-team environment for some time and finally got his first taste of senior action at the Camp Nou.
After the game Marques said the feelings were hard to put into words and that making his first appearance for the club felt like a dream fulfilled after passing through many stages to reach this point. He explained that once the third goal made the score comfortable, Hansi Flick called him over and there was no time to think — the moment had arrived.
Marques also conveyed the message Flick gave him before entering the pitch, asking him to enjoy the occasion, stay in the moment and do what was required on the field. He reflected on how special the Camp Nou is for someone who grew up watching matches and attending games, and said he is proud of his journey and grateful for the opportunity and the support he has received from teammates and idols.
He is expected to drop back down to Barcelona Atlètic in the coming days and could feature in their next match against Barbastro.
