Fan interest in Barcelona’s Champions League quarter-final second leg against Atlético Madrid is unprecedented. According to Mundo Deportivo, Barça allocated 2,336 tickets to club members, including over 230 reserved for FCB Desplazamientos, but received over 5,200 requests. This significant gap between availability and demand necessitated a mandatory lottery.

The draw took place on March 27, selecting winners numbered from 44,203 to 45,647 in the registration list. Winners will purchase tickets for €50 each and must collect them on match day at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium. All tickets are personal and non-transferable to ensure a purely Barça-supporting crowd.

With an estimated 2,500 supporters expected in Madrid, Barça will enjoy substantial fan backing. Having reached the semifinals last season, the team now aims to enter the top four once again and secure its sixth European title.

The return leg is scheduled for April 14 at Atlético’s home ground in Madrid, following the first leg on April 8 at Barcelona’s Spotify Camp Nou, which holds around 62,000 spectators.

This situation emphasizes the high enthusiasm of Barça fans and the team’s growing ambition under coach Hansi Flick to regain European glory. The loyal fanbase traveling to Madrid will be a key advantage in their quest for the semifinals and potential triumph.
