Barcelona midfielder Pedri is at risk of missing the Round of 32 match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup due to suspension.

Pedri was booked once already in Spain's opening game against Cape Verde. If he receives a second yellow card in Spain's final group stage match against Uruguay, he will be automatically suspended for the knockout round opener.

According to tournament rules, any player who accumulates two yellow cards across the first three group matches is suspended for the first knockout game. Yellow cards are then reset after the group stage and again after the quarter-finals.

Spain currently leads Group H and could face Austria in the Round of 32 if they maintain their position.
