Negotiations between FC Barcelona and AS Monaco over Ansu Fati’s transfer are ongoing. Despite rumors suggesting the deal is finalized, Ansu’s father, Bori Fati, clarified that the contract is not signed yet and important issues remain unresolved.

Bori Fati explained that Monaco is trying to activate a purchase option for 11 million euros, but Barcelona insists on a significant percentage from any future sell-on due to the player’s increasing value. Key terms have yet to be agreed upon.

He also mentioned that talks with the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, are still underway and a final decision on Ansu’s future is expected next week. Neither the current Barcelona coach Flick nor former player Deco have directly communicated with Ansu.

While other clubs show interest, Ansu and his family tend to prefer staying with Monaco. Importantly, there is no chance Ansu will remain at Barcelona next season as he won’t find a spot in the squad.

Currently, negotiations are at an advanced stage, but no definitive agreement has been signed and discussions continue between the clubs.
