Manchester United is reportedly prepared to bid around €100 million for Barcelona's young midfielder Fermin Lopez, according to Barca Universal citing Jose Alvarez Haya from El Chiringuito TV.

Currently rebuilding, Manchester United sees the Spanish talent as a key addition to their midfield. Despite Barcelona's financial constraints and salary cap limits, such a massive offer would be difficult for the Catalan club to ignore due to potential budget relief.

However, Barcelona has made it clear that Lopez is not for sale, and the player himself is unwilling to leave his boyhood club. The 22-year-old has become essential under Hansi Flick’s management, delivering 12 goals and 16 assists this season, ranking him among Europe's most productive midfielders.

Lopez has outperformed Dani Olmo, securing a starting spot and recently extended his contract until 2031. Earlier, he rejected Chelsea's offer and remains committed to Barcelona.

Manchester United’s interest highlights Lopez’s increased market value—from €70 million to €100 million—making him one of the club’s most valuable assets after Lamine Yamal and Pedri. Barcelona appears eager to retain him, potentially complicating Dani Olmo's future.

Meanwhile, Barcelona expects a busy summer transfer window as they anticipate staying within salary limits for the first time in years and might consider selling players such as Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde to facilitate new signings.

Although Manchester United is ready to invest heavily for Lopez, the player’s and Barcelona’s reluctance make the transfer uncertain at this stage.
