In a new episode on his YouTube channel, Lamine Yamal revealed why he wears a bandage on his hand. The reason was rather surprising: "One day, while playing PlayStation, I slapped the TV so hard that my fingers swelled up a lot. So I wrapped them up. Then I noticed they looked good, like Benzema’s, and decided to keep it on." Furthermore, Yamal expressed his happiness about Ousmane Dembélé winning the Ballon d’Or: "Honestly, I thought someone else was going to win it that day. I think it was very good for me that Dembélé won. Beyond helping me grow personally, I was still a kid and probably wouldn’t have appreciated what it really means to win a Ballon d’Or. Let’s see if this year is mine."

Commenting on his relationship with Dembélé, Lamine said: "Ousmane and I get along very well. We’ve spent time together and talked a lot. Recently, he asked me how I was doing. Since the Ballon d’Or ceremony, I’ve matured and changed a lot in my life. We were together at the Dubai awards, and you can tell we have a great connection. We still talk from time to time."

Yamal also mentioned some undervalued players he respects. In closing, he made a promise that if Spain wins the World Cup, he would grow a beard and mustache for three weeks.
