Joao Cancelo was involved in the first goal by Marc Bernal and assisted Frenkie de Jong for the second in a Barça-Levante match that ended 3-0.
The 31-year-old Portuguese fullback, who played on the left despite being right-footed, shone with constant runs and was named the match MVP. In an interview with Movistar LaLiga, he reflected on his first great performance since returning to the Blaugrana club on loan this winter transfer window.
"My best match since coming back? Yes, definitely. You have to seize the opportunity. I was training very well and I felt the coach was going to put me in. When you train well, things simply flow well on the pitch," said the international Portuguese.
He commented on his runs and crosses into the box, saying "I’m an attacking fullback," but focused more on the collective than the individual: "The important thing is the victory. Football always provides a second chance, and after two bad games, we played very well against a team with very good players despite their position, and we deserved the win. In LaLiga, you have to win every match."
