Eric Garcia analyzed the current situation of Barça following defeats against Atlético Madrid in the Cup (4-0) and Girona in the League (2-1) in an interview for the program 'Tot Costa' on Catalunya Ràdio.

The central defender affirmed that the team remains aligned with Hansi Flick's football idea and believes they can react, regain the league lead, and overturn the result against Atlético in the Cup. However, he admitted there are many defensive areas to improve to avoid dangerous ball losses, which was discussed with the German coach.

Garcia highlighted the importance of better interpreting game moments—knowing when to take risks and when to play safely. Despite the setbacks, he sent a message of calm, recalling that they've been in worse situations in the League and that they depend on themselves.

Regarding matches like the one at the Metropolitano, he pointed out aspects to improve such as being outnumbered when the opponent puts many men behind, and improving press after losing possession.

On adverse refereeing decisions, including the disallowed goal of Pau Cubarsí, Eric avoided controversies but pointed out that nowadays even minimal actions can lead to goals being cancelled, and the team must stay focused.

He also talked about his evolution as a footballer, being adaptable to play not only as a centre-back but also as a full-back and in midfield. He thanked Hansi Flick for the support that prevented him from leaving the club and noted that he came to Barça during a tough period but regained confidence through his time at Girona and hard work.

Eric underlined the pressure at Barça to always win but stressed the importance of staying calm and working hard for results. He expressed excitement about the possibility of going to the World Cup and highlighted two teammates, Cubarsí and Ronald Araújo.

Finally, he revealed he will not participate in club presidential elections to focus on the Sevilla match and clarified that wearing the mask after injury was not due to superstition but for protection, though vision was limited.

The defender does not hide his desire to become a team captain one day but values maintaining a good atmosphere in the locker room more.
