Dusan Vlahovic, the Serbian striker who became a free agent after his contract with Juventus expired, has not yet decided on his next club as he waits for an opportunity to join one of Europe's top teams, primarily Barcelona.
Spanish media report that Turkish side Besiktas has grown tired of waiting and issued an ultimatum to Vlahovic, requiring him to respond to their offer by tomorrow.
Besiktas' proposal consists of a three-year deal with an €8 million annual salary, without a signing bonus or performance-related bonuses. Even without extra incentives, this offer surpasses the renewal proposal previously presented to the forward.
Vlahovic has expressed hope that Barcelona will enter the race, especially amid uncertainty over Ferran Torres’ future, who is currently linked to a move to PSG. If Torres leaves, Barcelona would focus on adding attacking options, including their priority target, Julian Alvarez.
However, the club has not made any formal moves due to financial concerns, as Vlahovic demands a lucrative three-year contract with a substantial signing bonus and significant agent fees, which currently exceed Barcelona’s financial parameters.
Apart from Vlahovic, Barcelona is monitoring alternative forwards such as Hoffenheim’s Fisnik Asllani, whose release clause is set at €29 million.
For now, Vlahovic continues to wait, while Besiktas is prepared to move on if no answer is received.
