Barcelona plans to concentrate its summer efforts on strengthening the attack, with the club increasingly confident that major changes in defense are unnecessary before the start of the new season.

While open to reviewing significant offers for some players, the club expects that two of coach Hansi Flick's most trusted defenders, Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde, have no intention of leaving.

Alejandro Balde faces strong positional competition but remains committed. Last season he was second choice behind Joao Cancelo, whom Barcelona is working to sign permanently from Al Hilal. Additionally, the club is pursuing promising youngster Jorge Salinas to further reinforce the left side. Balde's contract runs until 2028, and he believes he can reclaim a regular starting role.

Jules Kounde's situation is similar. Despite injury setbacks last season, he remains a significant squad member. His appearances for France under Didier Deschamps at the World Cup indicate he is regaining form. Kounde has no desire to consider offers elsewhere and intends to honor his contract while competing under Flick.
