Wayne Rooney, the former England and Manchester United star, has expressed his admiration for Barcelona and Spain player Lamine Yamal.

Rooney emphasized that Yamal not only brings joy to the game but also inspires all young players in the Spanish national team. "You know what I absolutely love about him? He just makes me smile. The enjoyment and fun he plays with is incredible," Rooney told the BBC.

He pointed out that Yamal, who won the European Championship at 16, has matured by 18 and gives confidence and belief to the other Spain players. "He gives every other player on that pitch for Spain a confidence and belief that they can go on and win this World Cup," Rooney added.

Spain will continue their World Cup journey with a match against Uruguay, aiming to finish top of their group.
