FC Barcelona is expecting to receive license 1C approval from Barcelona city authorities this week. This permit will allow the club to reopen the first and second tiers of the Gol Nord section at the Spotify Camp Nou stadium.

As a result, stadium capacity will increase from the current 45,401 seats to 62,000. The club plans to release 14,000 season tickets for members, priced between 160 and 264 euros. If demand exceeds supply, a lottery system will be used to allocate tickets.

In addition to Gol Nord, work is underway to establish the Grada d’Animació fan section in the Gol Sur area, which will provide 1,247 places. This section has not yet been officially opened, although during the Copa del Rey match against Atlético Madrid, a corner with 750 seats was made available.

Obtaining license 1C is a significant step for Barcelona both financially and in terms of stadium atmosphere, especially ahead of the crucial March 15 match against Sevilla and the club’s presidential elections. Opening these sections will allow Camp Nou to host many more supporters, enhancing the team’s chances in upcoming games.
