Barcelona held a morning training session at the Sports City to begin preparing for next weekend's match against Villarreal.
German coach Hansi Flick was able to work with nearly the entire squad, a rare image considering the large number of injuries in recent months. The only absence was Danish player Andreas Christensen, who continues recovering from a long-term injury and has not yet rejoined the group.
Gavi is gradually returning; he resumed working with the group last week and shows a very positive recovery trajectory after being sidelined for several months.
Additionally, Marc-André ter Stegen and Hector Bellerín, currently on loan at Girona and Elche respectively, have been using the club's facilities to continue their rehabilitation, attending nearly daily last week.
The morning also saw visits to the training ground by former Borussia Dortmund coach Edin Terzić and his assistant Sebastian Gepper. They toured the Sports City with the club’s permission to closely observe the Barça coaching staff's working methods. Such visits are common among coaches and part of professional football's normal exchange of experiences.
After months of hard work from the medical services, the team arrives at this stage of the season with nearly all players available. Flick, who celebrated his birthday yesterday, can count on almost the entire squad for the upcoming match against Villarreal.
