Barça and Girona are tied 1-1 at half-time. Individual assessments of Barça's players after the first 45 minutes.

Joan García — Inspired. He played in a constant state of vigilance away from the goal, with the recent memory of the Metropolitano. He produced some important saves, although it was not clear whether the scorer was onside.

Jules Koundé — Sluggish. Lamine looked for him to reestablish their usual partnership, but it never clicked. Even a header that should have been a scoring chance turned into a clearance.

Pau Cubarsí — Stressed. Another first half of suffering due to opponents bursting in from the second line.

Eric García — Rash. He committed an ill-timed foul to stop an offensive move by center-back Reis. It cost him a card that threatens to limit him.

Gerard Marín — Novel. He started eager to show up in attack, with a couple of promising forays; one of the players closest to his best level.

Frenkie de Jong — Cold. At times even icy. He did not show the leadership expected from the midfield of a team aiming to reclaim the lead.

Dani Olmo — Penalized. He barely made an impact through much of the half but was involved in the most significant play: he was the victim of a clear penalty just before the break.

Lamine Yamal — Penalized. He curled the first attempt wide, missed a very clear one-on-one with Gazzaniga in the second, and in the third he missed a key penalty that hit the woodwork.

Fermín López — Anxious. Active both offensively and defensively, he worked hard but lacked calm in the final decision to finish moves.

Raphinha — Committed. He showed a good understanding with Flick; he had two clear chances: he missed the first and struck the post with the second.

Ferran Torres — Trapped. He lacked the vital space and always took an extra second on his controls.
