Barcelona is in advanced talks to sign 19-year-old defender Jorge Salinas from Racing Santander. The urgency to complete the deal before June 30 stems from the current release clause set at €8 million, which will double to €16 million from July 1. Barcelona aims to negotiate an arrangement that could include loaning a youth player to Racing to ease the financial terms but is prepared to pay the €8 million if necessary.
