FC Barcelona has received the green light from the Catalan police (Mossos d'Esquadra) to organize the 'Grada d'Animació' fan section for the Copa del Rey semifinal against Atletico Madrid. Around 700 passionate supporters from historic fan groups will be positioned in a corner between the Gol Sud and Tribuna stands, aiming to create a spirited atmosphere to boost the team.
This is a temporary arrangement due to the lack of a municipal license for full stadium capacity (62,000 spectators) and applies only for this fixture. The club spent weeks negotiating with key supporter groups such as Almogàvers, Nostra Ensenya, Fron 532, and Supporters Barça to coordinate the fans’ presence and ensure a strong environment from the first whistle.
Barcelona hopes that the energetic backing from the fan base will be an important asset as the team tries to overcome a heavy 4-0 defeat from the first leg. The supporters’ pressure is intended to uplift the team’s morale and put significant pressure on Atletico, facilitating a challenging but vital comeback.
The activation of a lively animation stand underlines the club’s intent to fully leverage the home advantage and fan motivation in crucial matches.
