Today, a debate was scheduled at the Mundo Deportivo editorial office featuring the four precandidates aiming for the presidency of FC Barcelona to discuss their sports projects.

However, the debate was ultimately not held due to disagreements. Mundo Deportivo had proposed on the morning of February 12 that three debates be held covering sports, social, and economic issues, with candidates choosing their representatives accordingly. All four precandidates initially agreed.

Victor Fon's team informed that Carles Planchar would represent them in the sports debate. Later, Fon's group replaced Planchar with Jaume Guardiola for the sports debate, sparking dissatisfaction from Laporta's team, who argued it was a last-minute change of the agreed plan.

Laporta’s team then stated they would not participate if Guardiola remained as Fon’s representative. Other precandidates raised no objections. After attempts to persuade Laporta, they agreed to participate, but by then Marc Ciria’s representative, Pere Gallego, had already left due to other commitments.

Given the absence of one participant, the debate was definitively canceled.
