With less than three weeks remaining before the FC Barcelona presidential elections scheduled for March 15, 2026, Joan Laporta appears to be the leading candidate to win.

This is reflected in a poll commissioned by Mundo Deportivo and Estudio Press, conducted among 300 club members. The survey took place on February 21 and 22, following the Barça matches against Alcoyano and Levante, with Laporta receiving 58.66% of the votes, significantly ahead of other candidates.

Victor Font, leader of the ‘Nosaltres’ platform, is the main opposition with 20.33% support. Newcomer Marc Ciria holds third place with 7.33%, followed by Xavi Vilajoana with only 1.33%.

However, 12.33% of respondents remain undecided or unsure about their vote. Combining the support of Font, Ciria, and Vilajoana among decided and undecided voters sums to 41.34%, which is insufficient to surpass Laporta, even if all undecided voters choose against him.

It is worth noting that Laporta’s current support exceeds what he achieved in the 2021 elections, where he won with 54.28% of the vote. Font’s support is lower than his 29.99% five years ago. Ciria and Vilajoana’s combined support is close to the 8.58% garnered by Toni Freixa in 2021.

The poll was conducted before a club member filed a complaint with the National Court against Laporta and club officials, accusing them of alleged money laundering and taking improper commissions. Laporta has denied the allegations, calling them slander, while his opponents continue to demand transparency.
