LaLiga has accepted FC Barcelona's request to play the 28th round match against Sevilla on Sunday, March 15 (16:15), the day of the club's presidential elections, aiming to encourage maximum participation.

However, the date is provisional until Friday, February 27, when the Champions League round of 16 draw will take place. UEFA will decide when Barça will play the second leg of the round of 16 at Spotify Camp Nou, likely against PSG or Newcastle United.

If UEFA schedules this Champions League match on Tuesday, March 17, the Barça-Sevilla match will be moved to Saturday, March 14. If the game is set for Wednesday, March 18, then the league match with Sevilla will take place on election day, when polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The kickoff time for Athletic-Barça in the 27th round is also provisional: initially set for Sunday, March 7 (16:15). This date will remain if Barça plays the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Wednesday, March 10. But if TV schedules force the European match to Tuesday, March 9, the league visit to San Mamés will move to Saturday, March 6.
