FC Barcelona has officially completed the loan move of goalkeeper Diego Kochen to Danish side Lyngby.
With the goalkeeping situation at Barcelona clarified—Joan Garcia established as the starter and veteran Wojciech Szczesny set to remain as backup for at least another season—the opportunities for other goalkeepers became scarce. Consequently, the club arranged departures for several keepers.
Kochen’s loan to Lyngby is finalized and set for one season. The player, under contract with Barcelona until 2028, will have the chance to gain valuable first-team experience. The deal includes a purchase option for Lyngby set at €1.5 million once the loan ends, while Barcelona retains a 40% share of any future transfer fee.
Previously third-choice goalkeeper at Barcelona, Kochen did not play a single minute for the first team last season. This move provides him with a vital platform to develop by starting regularly.
Currently, Barcelona relies on Joan Garcia as their main goalkeeper, ensuring the position remains well covered.
