After the Girona–Barcelona match on Monday, February 16, Barcelona topped the list of teams most harmed by VAR compiled by 'Archivo VAR' — the club even sent a complaint due to the accumulation of disputed decisions.

According to the website, Barcelona has ten incorrect VAR decisions, nine of them linked to the semi-automatic offside system. The report also notes that half of the technological errors recorded in the competition — six in total — affected the same team.

Next in the list are Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, with five errors each; for Real Sociedad those mistakes have cost up to five points. Following them, Getafe, Real Betis, Rayo Vallecano, Espanyol and Deportivo Alavés appear with four erroneous decisions apiece.

Curiously, Villarreal so far is the only club not to have been penalized by a VAR error. 'Archivo VAR' issues a report after each LaLiga matchday and counts errors such as wrongly disallowed goals, wrongly allowed goals, penalties not awarded in error, penalties incorrectly awarded, direct red cards shown correctly or incorrectly, and identity confusions.
