Club Career

Pedri is one of the brightest midfielders of the new generation, and his rise to the top began in the Canary Islands. His full name is Pedro González López. According to FC Barcelona’s official information, on 2 September 2019 the club reached an agreement with UD Las Palmas for his transfer, although he only joined Barça in August 2020. Before that move, he had already made a strong impression with the Canary Islands side. UD Las Palmas officially confirm that his Segunda División debut came on 18 August 2019 against Huesca. In September of the same year, he scored his first senior goal, giving his team victory over Sporting de Gijón. After arriving at Barcelona, Pedri quickly became an essential first-team player. His official debut for the club came on 27 September 2020 in the La Liga match against Villarreal. In his very first season, he made 52 appearances — more than any other Barcelona player — and established himself immediately as a regular starter.
