Jules Koundé is a French defender whose career has taken him through France, Spain, and the highest level of European football. According to FC Barcelona’s official profile, he was born in Paris and started playing for small clubs around Bordeaux as a child. At the age of 14, he passed a trial and joined the Girondins de Bordeaux academy, where he took the next major step in his development.
